Chalet Petit Tinqueur - Chamonix, France

How to book

Booking with us is a piece of cake…

Check on the website to see if your preferred dates are available.

Email or phone us to double-check those dates and to ask us any questions. (Contact us even if the website says your preferred dates are not available at Chalet PT. We sometimes get cancellations and can also put you in touch with other owners/operators in Chamonix.)

Once we’ve confirmed that the dates are available and that you’re happy with everything, we take a 40% deposit to confirm your booking. As a French company, we accept payments in Euro - either by cheque, bank transfer or by VISA/Mastercard. Card payments are subject to a 2% charge, which is approximately what the greedy Credit Agricole nobbles us for. All charges for international bank transfers are to be met by you (if you're British, contact your MP to get the Euro introduced in the UK if that irritates you). We'll send you the booking form to fill out, sign and return (this forms the basis of your contract with us), plus a receipt for your deposit. Easy-peasy.

The remaining 60% of the balance is due no later than 60 days before you turn up in Chamonix.

Insurance

Although it probably isn’t at the forefront of your mind when you book your holiday, it is essential to make sure that you are well insured before you set foot on the mountain. Skiing without insurance can be an extremely costly and upsetting experience, should things go wrong. The same is true in summer if you’re planning to take part in activities such as rafting and mountain biking. It’s not only to cover you in case of injury; it’s also to cover you in case of loss, e.g. if your hire skis are stolen (for which you are usually liable). Because of this, it is a condition of booking with us that all guests must have adequate insurance cover before they travel.

We have teamed up with Fogg Travel to offer you some of the best insurance policies on the market. They insure the British Ski Teams and all their winter policies cover you for off-piste skiing (apart from closed or high avalanche risk areas). For a quote, click the link below:

If you already have your own insurance, you must make sure that the policy covers snow sports and gives you equal or greater cover to that offered by Fogg Travel. Please ensure you bring your insurance policy details with you on holiday.
